Off the beaten path travel doesn’t always mean disappearing into the middle of nowhere, although, if I’m honest, I do love a place that feels a little wild, more remote and totally unexpected.

For me, it’s about travelling with curiosity, seeking out the quieter corners, the lesser-visited towns, the local experiences and the places that don’t always make it onto the standard itinerary.

Guides & Stories From the Road

I’ve had a few offbeat adventures that feel like big personal achievements, but my biggest one to date was driving a tuk-tuk from Sierra Leone to England with my dad, crossing West Africa, desert roads and the Sahara along the way.

It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime adventures that most people would probably call a little bit mad, but it pushed me so far out of my comfort zone and gave me some of the best stories of my life.
